Crispy onion rings
With Sage Butter Melts
Deliciously crispy onion rings served with our simply fancy, pork loin steaks with sage butter melts.
2 Large Onions (sliced and seperated)
1 Cup Flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup bread crumbs
Oil for shallow frying
Sage Butter Melts Preparation
Cook Sage Butter Melts using the instructions on the back of the product packaging.
Crispy Onion RIngs
Heat oil in a large pan to 180 degrees C
Stir together flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl.
Coat onion rings into the flour mixture until all are coated, set aside. Whisk the egg and milk into the remaining flour mixture. Coat the floured rings in the batter to coat, then place on a wire rack until batter stops dripping. Place bread crumbs onto a plate and coat all battered onion rings one at a time.
Shallow fry the onion rings a few at a time until golden brown, place on a paper towel to drain. Season with salt and serve with Sage Butter Melts.
